These projects were all about storing coats, shoes, hats gloves, bags and more in a hallway, just inside the front door to the properties. Utilising a hallway space for the storage of items as you enter your home is a fantastic way to disguise your shoes, boots, garments and accessories, neatly slotting them into designated bespoke storage areas.
Shaker Hallway Storage
This bespoke shaker style hallway storage solution was individually designed with our clients brief foremost within the planning for the cabinet. Large doors with a hanging railed area to the left side, and to the right side coat hooks and adjustable shelving.
The doors were separated at the bottom with a chunky oak detail, which under this was set four large soft closing drawers for storing shoes. Four smaller doors at the top for storing items which were not used on a daily basis, and capped at the very top with another detail of oak.
Spray painted finish in Little Greene Normandy Grey, and professionally installed.
This project was designed and fitted to a shallow alcove space just inside the front door of the property. With not enough depth for a hanging rail, we maintained ample storage with the use of custom made oak shaker coat hooks for coats, and adjustable shelves for hats, scarves, bags and other accessories. The right side cupboard was designed with children in mind, so they could reach the coat hooks by lowering the installation height of these.
The base cabinets house shoes, with the right side door angled to open over the staircase. Fitted and installed to a very wonky old period home.
